Innova NanoJet Technology Limited is a Glasgow UK-based fast-growing technology and product company. We develop and commercialize breakthrough platform technologies in ultrasonic and ultra-fine nano-scale droplet sprays - the NanoJet Technologies, and products. We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer who will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and highquality production processes. He/She will contribute significantly to the company's success by optimizing manufacturing operations, reducing costs, and maintaining product quality standards.

Here are the main responsibilities and required qualifications for this post:

Main Responsibilities:

Production Process Optimization: (i). Process Improvement: Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs. (ii). Quality Control: Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet industry standards and customer requirements.

Product Manufacturing: (i). New Product Introduction: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to facilitate the smooth transition of new products from design to manufacturing. (ii). Production Planning: Plan and schedule production activities, including resource allocation, to meet production targets and deadlines.

Technical Support: (i). Technical Problem-Solving: Address technical challenges in manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support to production teams. (ii). Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis of defects or issues in manufacturing processes and implement corrective actions.

Manufacturing Documentation: (i). Work Instructions: Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and manufacturing guidelines for production staff. (ii). Documentation Control: Manage and update manufacturing documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the production teams.

Collaboration and Communication: (i). Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless coordination between departments. (ii). Stakeholder Communication: Communicate manufacturing requirements, updates, and challenges to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.

Continuous Improvement: (i). Lean Manufacturing: Implement lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, optimize processes, and improve efficiency. (ii). Kaizen Initiatives: Lead or participate in Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and workflows.

Equipment and Technology: (i). Equipment Selection: Evaluate and select appropriate manufacturing equipment and technologies to improve production capabilities and efficiency. (ii). Maintenance: Coordinate equipment maintenance activities to ensure the operational readiness of manufacturing machinery.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma can be beneficial.

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies relevant to the industry. Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and familiarity with manufacturing software systems (such as ERP systems) is valuable.

Experience: Several years of experience in manufacturing engineering roles, preferably in a technology and product company. Experience in process optimization, production planning, and new product introduction is essential.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address manufacturing challenges, defects, and inefficiencies.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to plan and coordinate manufacturing projects effectively.

Quality Focus: Knowledge of quality management principles and experience in implementing quality control measures to ensure high-quality products.

Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, providing technical expertise and support to colleagues.

We are seeking an experienced Product Modelling and Structure Analysis Engineer to play critical roles in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of mechanical systems in our new products by performing sophistic numerical modelling and analysis and laboratory validation tasks. His/her work will help the company in design and manufacture of products that meet desired performance, life-span, high-quality standards and regulatory requirements.

More specifically, we are seeking the candidate who has:

Main Responsibilities:

Stress and Strain Analysis: Analyze and assess the mechanical behavior of multi-components systems and structures under various loading and drop test conditions; Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to predict and optimize stress and strain distributions and deformations in parts/structures; Ensure that components meet safety and performance standards, as well as minimize the usage of materials and avoid manufacturing complexity.

Heat Transfer Analysis: Analyze and model heat transfer in products and systems; Determine temperature distributions, heat flow, and thermal performance; Design and optimize cooling systems to prevent overheating.

Vibration and Noise Analysis: Evaluate and predict the vibration behavior of our product systems and structures; Identify sources of vibration and noise, resonance issues, and potential solutions; Ensure that vibration and noise levels are within acceptable limits.

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD): Simulate fluid flow and heat transfer in systems using CFD software; Analyze aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics to optimize designs, including multiphase coupling and flow analysis; Improve the performance of components exposed to fluid flow.

Qualifications:

Education: A Master degree in mechanical/manufacturing/material engineering or a related field is the minimum requirement, and PhD is desirable.

Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are essential to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

Computer Skills: Proficiency in relevant software tools like FEA software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus), CFD software (e.g., Fluent, CFX), and other simulation tools.

Knowledge of Materials and Manufacturing Processes: Understanding of material properties and how they relate to stress, strain, and thermal behavior, and how these are influenced by manufacturing processes.

Experience: >10 years working experience in finite element modelling, CFD, or other specialized analysis fields, in analysis of multi-component machine/product systems and structures, is required.

Problem-Solving: The ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and optimize designs is crucial.

Communication Skills: Effective communication is important for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is necessary to ensure compliance.

Project Management: The project management skills are essential.

Continual Learning: As technology evolves, staying up-to-date with the latest analysis methods and tools is important, and therefore, good attitude towards and ability of continuing learning new methods and software as well as handling new machine/product system analysis challenges are required.
